4th Level Ventures and Enterprise Ireland invested €650,000 to fund Celtic Catalysts’ development initiative.

Celtic Catalysts is a new venture established in the area of chemical discovery, which has set itself the goal of "discovering, developing, patenting and profiting from chemical catalysts and processes of significant commercial potential to the Fine Chemical, Agrochemical and Pharmaceutical Industries".

Celtic Catalysts' focus is on a niche area known as chiral (pron. ky-ral) chemistry. This field of research has already generated exciting new developments which have enabled the production of pharmaceutical products of enhanced therapeutic activity whilst at the same time allowing innovator companies to extend product lifecycles and thus stave off generic competition.
