IdentiGEN is a provider of DNA based solutions to the Agri-food industry. The company is a spin-out from the Molecular Population Genetics Research Group in the Institute of Genetics, Trinity College. The Company was incorporated in 1996 after the promoters recognised the opportunity to apply DNA identification technologies to help solve new challenges in the area of meat traceability in the aftermath of the UK BSE crises.
